Banking
Know this exam before you sit it
Who it's for
Graduates aiming for Probationary Officer, Clerk, and specialist roles at public and private sector banks, typically via IBPS, SBI, or RBI recruitment processes.
Exam pattern
- Prelims → Mains (→ interview for PO-level roles)
- Quant, Reasoning, English, and Banking Awareness
- Most sections are individually timed — you can't borrow time across sections
Before exam day
- Practice under the sectional time limit, not just overall time
- Know your calculator/rough-sheet rules — they vary by exam body
- Keep banking awareness revision ongoing, not saved for the end
We deliberately don't publish applicant counts or cutoff ranks here. Both swing sharply every year by category, institute, branch, and counselling round — a number quoted today is likely wrong by the time you sit the exam. For current figures, go straight to the exam's own conducting body (NTA for JEE/NEET, UPSC for civil services, IBPS/SBI for banking, SSC, your regional RRB for Railway, or your state's Public Service Commission) — that's the only source that won't mislead you.
